The AMP (Art, Media and Performance) Academy located at Monterey High School will be hosting their Celebration of the Arts event here at the Monterey Regional Airport on Saturday, April 8th.  The AMP Academy is a California Partnership Academy which specializes in the Arts, Media and Entertainment sector.  Students from Monterey High School, who benefit from a strong arts pathway and curriculum, will present their artwork and perform pieces from their upcoming play “Legally Blond”.  The public is welcome to come by to enjoy these students’ accomplished work from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm.  

A grant from the Arts Council for Monterey County has allowed the AMP Academy to showcase their work in the community at the West End Festival, the Carl Cherry Gallery in Carmel, the Monterey Public Library, Salinas City Hall and the Youth Art Competition in Seaside and has been purchased for permanent display by the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula.  Come by the Monterey Regional Airport to enjoy the work of these award-winning students.
