Monterey Regional Airport replacement terminal project gets $3M more in federal funding

MONTEREY – Another $3 million in federal grant funding has been secured for the design and construction of a replacement terminal at Monterey Regional Airport bringing the total for the project to $7.2 million. “Every dollar we can get is critical for the project and the airport,” said Monterey Regional Airport Deputy Executive Director Chris Morello.

Monterey Regional Airport Announces Grants Totaling $4.2 Million for Design and Construction of New Terminal Building

MONTEREY, CA. (Dec. 26, 2022) — With a $2.14 million grant from the Department of Transportation received in late November, the Monterey Regional Airport now has $4.2 million toward the design and construction of a new airport terminal.

The funds are from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill for Federal Fiscal Year 2023, along with another $2.14 million grant from the same piece of legislation from Fiscal Year 2022.
